I finally found the best pick ever! Why? They have the best tone, the best grip, the best string release, and durability! If you haven’t tried them yet, do yourself a favor and order one right now. You won’t regret it!

“My TPR 50 combines all the qualities I look for in a pick: its tone is warm, round and defined. With very little attack noise it glides over the strings so smoothly. I always have one with me!”

Before I started using the BlueChip thumb pick, I had already heard many great reviews about it. But when I tried it for the first time, I was very impressed with how well the thumb pick fit on my finger, and even more impressed with the wonderful tone that I as able to achieve with this unique material. After a year of using the same thumb pick, I see no evidence of string wear on it. I also enjoy using the BlueChip flat picks on my guitar. Thanks to BlueChip for making my banjo and guitar sound much better!

I use Blue Chip’s JD thumb picks for banjo and fingerpicking guitar. They fit well, sit tightly, sound great, and they last a long, long time. Having grown up using plastic thumb picks, having to shape them with boiling water and pliers because they are inconsistently made, and then having them eventually sound scratchy and wear out, I truly appreciate the Blue Chip thumb picks.

The TP-40 is my preferred pick for flat picking. Having used shell picks for years made from a jewelry box I bought in an antique store, I love the consistency of the Blue Chip flat picks. Unlike shell, no care is required. Unlike plastic, they really last, and the tone is vastly superior, very similar to the sound of shell.

I used the Blue Chip thumb pick and the Blue Chip flat pick exclusively on my new bluegrass instrumental record, Hogan’s House of Music. No jewelry boxes were harmed in the making of this album.
